Grilling MSPs on science

Scotland is heading towards a general election on 5 May. Ahead of this, the Royal Society of Chemistry organised a big science question time debate, grilling a panel of MSPs from each party on their science policies. Bristow Muldoon, the Soottish Parliamentary Liason Officer for the Royal Society of Chemistry and Head of Policy for the Royal Society of Edinburgh has blogged about the debate on the CaSE blog and there should be a full copy of everything that was discussed up soon.

Funders of medical research across Scotland are joining forces to make five policy calls on MSPs, getting medical research and science on their agendas ahead of the elections. Our big call is for MSPs to champion the appointment of a minister with responsibility for science. Currently no single minister speaks up for Scottish science. Check out more information about the campaign here.
