Now the health bill’s an act, what happens next?

Cancer Research UK’s science blog has an update on what’s happening now the Health & Social Care Bill has passed into law. The Clinical Commissioning Groups which will be commissioning services for patients are getting up and running and this blog considers some of the action that will be needed to help them deliver their new duties. These include the new duty to promote research which is now across the Secretary of State, NHS Commissioning Board and all Clinical Commissioning Groups.

We are exploring how medical research charities can work with the government and the NHS to support research in the NHS as the new system gets up and running.
